Location

The best place to view the remaining line of the canal is from the Tarka Trail, a cycle and footpath along the old railway track from Bideford to Torrington. The first glimpses of the canal, when travelling from Bideford to Torrington can be seen just after the Landcross railway tunnel. Here there is a viewing platform where you can look down at the lock and find out about it on the information board.
